Mission Staycation Day

Mission Staycation Photo Album

Mission Staycation Day is a free public event held every first Saturday of the month from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce, located at 202 W Tom Landry.

The event attracts local vendors who offer food, locally grown produce, arts and crafts, and even a healthy eating demonstration by Chef Mikal Marrus.

During the summer months, a majority of the Mission Staycation Day is held indoors to keep visitors cool.

In the past, the Staycation has attracted vendors who grow their own vegetables, beef, and chicken organically. Other vendors have included potters, wire sculptors, craft makers, and even larger companies looking to reach out to the Mission community.

The event is geared towards a family audience; it is something to do for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.
